Oil


I have been to a couple oil painting classes lately.  They are always three hours long and I walk out with the finished product.

Here are the outcomes of my time there.





 I think it is interesting how dark the sky in the middle looks in the one above, but when you add in darker colors around it, it looks so light!  I didn't change anything in that middle part from the top picture.  Weird, right?
 And that's all!

  1. That is weird about the darkness of that color. I remember reading in one of my art books in college "we judge colors by the company they keep." It goes on to say that lots of time white snow isn't really white, it's some dark color or something, but because it's the brightest thing there we say it's white, and so on. I think it's kind of spiritual.
    This looks like a fun class, Al. I think it's cool you do it, and nice work. =)
